About the school

Chavakali High School is a national boys' boarding secondary school located along the Kisumu-Kakamega Highway in Sabatia sub-county, Vihiga County. Founded in 1959 as a Harambee school by the Maragoli community in partnership with the American Friends (Quaker) Africa Mission, Chavakali began with just 36 male students in a single brick block.
